About Startline Timing

Startline Timing was born out of the success of Winning Time Canada, an established event management and sports timing company. With headquarters in the Greater Vancouver area and expansion offices in Calgary and Montreal, we’ve grown to become a trusted name across Canada for delivering accurate timing and exceptional customer service.

Since 2004, we’ve been involved in over 500 events, ranging in size from small local gatherings to large-scale events with up to 50,000 participants. Our team has earned a reputation for precision and reliability, ensuring every event runs smoothly.

Our transition from Winning Time Canada to Startline Timing in 2010 was driven by a need to embrace cutting-edge technology. We adopted Chronotrack, the industry-leading timing solution used by 25 of the top 26 running events in North America, and also the largest running event in the world, City to Surf in Sydney, Australia.

But our true strength lies in our people. Our team consists of experienced timers, event coordinators, logistical support staff, and programmers who ensure that every race—big or small—receives the best possible timing service. While we use the latest technology, it’s our extensive event experience that sets us apart and ensures top-tier timing in all conditions.

Our staff have been part of high-profile events such as the 2014 Sochi Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, and the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, as well as large-scale runs like the 50,000-person Bloomsday Run in Spokane, WA.
